Osteopath Barry Harpur and director of Kinesis Clinic has been working as a musculoskeletal therapist since 2003. He has a Masters from the British School of Osteopathy and is currently completing his doctorate at the University of Portsmouth in Sport, Exercise and Health Science. His doctorate focuses on the advanced study of injury prediction and back pain screening.

Barry has always had a passion for injury rehabilitation after suffering from a neck injury at an early age while playing rugby. Since qualifying as an Osteopath he has complete a postgraduate program in Applied Functional Science (AFS) at the world-famous Gray Institute, Michigan, USA. He has also continued to develop his manual therapy skills by completing the Graston Technique® therapy Specialist (GTS) qualification in New York to become the U.K's only GTS scar tissue specialist. An advanced form of instrument-assisted, soft tissue mobilisation to effectively treat the adverse effects of scar tissue and fascial restrictions. Barry also specialises in acupuncture / dry needling.

Barry has also become one of only a few therapists in the U.K. to be registered as full body certified in Active release techniques® (ART). This is a patented, state of the art soft tissue movement-based technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. ‘My patients deserve the best and it is my goal to be able to offer reliable, safe, effective and research-based treatments every time. This improves recovery time, helps restore functional and overall pain free movement’.

As well as offering the gold standard in soft tissue techniques, Kinesis Clinic offers Type 4 laser therapy. Laser therapy has been adopted as an essential pain management tool by clinicians in the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, FIFA and Olympic teams.

Please note that we need 24 hours notice if you cannot make an appointment or the full fee may be charged. Please remember that you are directly responsible for the cost of your treatment on the day, this can then be claimed back through your private insurance. A receipt will be provided as proof of your payment which you can then produce to your insurance company. However please remember there may be an excess on your policy.
